Hey, Witch Doctor, I can REALLY relate to your ostrich/emu thing. I cracked up when I read that in your post, cause I was out riding Thursday afternoon on the back roads here in the Ozarks and passed a farm where they raise those things. (ugly damn birds, ain't they?) Anyhow, one of them was right up at the fence acting hinky, jumping and flapping. I thought "be a bitch if that thing jumped out on the road." Just as I passed it, looked in the mirror and watched it do just that. Always a good idea to ride home on a different road, right? Damn sure did Thursday!
As for your troubles, I'm sending good thoughts your way that it all gets better soon. Hey, you've always got that good old Memphis barbecue to cheer you up! Really, man, hope your road smoothes out soon. If you and Lisa ever get over to the Ozarks look me up and we'll go cruise the twisties. We've got room for you, and the beer's always cold.
